The History of our Building

Emojies

Bailey’s Café was an institution in Dewsbury for 70 years until it closed in 2014.

The building, which has an art deco frontage, had a serious fire just before it was purchased in 2016.

The structure had to be gutted and has been extended and almost totally rebuilt from the inside, with the exterior sympathetically restored to its art deco glory.

This mixture of heritage and contemporary creates a stunning interior with it’s modern, clean lines, beautiful tree climbing up to a mezzanine floor and industrial type interior, making it on a par with any contemporary restaurant in the heart of Manchester, Leeds or Central London.

Come and see this spectacular building for yourself when we open on 21st September 2021.
